KEYWORD

This sample is just one of the various ways how to do automated keyword research to optimize an Amazon product listing.  We can also do manual keyword research but that is time-consuming. I randomly selected the product below to show the steps for this basic keyword search.

Analyze the ASIN's listing and get the first 4-5 main keywords to search on Amazon. For this example, let's use "Lion's Mane Mushroom Gummies."

Run Helium 10 Xray then sort the sales from highest to lowest.

Select up to 9 of the most similar products. The sample product is in the form of gummies so don't choose those in tablets and capsules. Next, run keyword research.

The ASINs of the selected products were already pasted on Cerebro.  Click "get keywords" and you will see the number of keywords generated from the search.

Since we still have 13,000 keywords, we need to apply some filters to trim that down.  Set the minimum search volume to 500, minimum word count to 2, and only choose organic match type.  Click "apply filters" after.

As you see from 13,000 keywords we now have only 65 keywords. Export the data and open the file.

Delete the unnecessary columns then sort the search volume from highest to lowest. Get the most relevant keywords with the highest search volume and include those in your title. Add the remaining keywords on bullet points, product description, and backend keywords. Going back to our sample ASIN, we can start the title with "Lions Mane Mushroom Supplement Gummies" instead of just "Lions Mane Mushroom Gummies."
